Reflection on AS

At AS level we created a well made and effective film opening that successfully included all aspects of the criteria. However, now that we have progressed to A2 we should make some changes to how we produce our product to make it not only effective but also professional. Although we worked very well as a group and produced a final piece that we are all happy with there are a few changes we could make when we progress to A2 to create an even better piece. Firstly, the editing of our piece, whilst it didn't effect the quality of our film we could have used different methods and styles of editing to add more to our opening and create a more exciting and tense atmosphere, we didn't make use of all that was available to us. This is again the case with the sound and our lack of effects. Whilst we did use some effective sounds, especially towards the end we could have taken greater advantage of sounds available to us to add more to our piece. Even though we didn't need to include any dramatic effects such a green screens and after effects, it could have given our piece a more professional feel to it which overall would have made it more complete. Overall, however, I believe this all comes down to our time management. At the beginning of this process we were very organized and were completing tasks far ahead of schedule. However, as time went on, even though we never fell behind schedule and nothing was handed in late we began to only just make deadlines which meant we left no time for additional embellishments to be added to our piece. This is the main aspect I believe we could work on this time around.
